Why a maternity shoot?

You see, maternity photography isn’t just about snapping photos it’s about freezing a moment in time that is filled with anticipation, love, and excitement. For me, there’s something truly magical about documenting the miracle of pregnancy. It’s an honour to witness the love shared between partners as they eagerly await the arrival of their little one. That’s why I’m passionate about making maternity photography affordable and accessible to all expecting parents in Kent.

When is the best time for a maternity shoot? Well, I recommend scheduling it between 28 to 36 weeks of pregnancy. During this time, your belly has a beautiful roundness to it, and you’re still comfortable enough to move around with ease. Of course, we’ll want to avoid scheduling too close to your due date to ensure a stress-free experience.

Who should join in on the fun? Anyone you’d like! Partners, siblings, and even furry family members are more than welcome to be a part of the shoot. 

As for the location, it’s entirely up to you. Whether you prefer the beauty of nature or the cosiness of your own home, we can talk through ideas and settings. Your maternity shoot should feel personal and intimate to you! 

Don’t worry, before the session, we’ll chat about the dress code. While I often suggest neutrals for a timeless look, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident in what you’re wearing.
